Daesha came to FirstLook for her second pregnancy. She had lived a nomadic lifestyle with her husband in another state and was ready to put down some roots in Ellis County. Daesha came to us with a lot of brokenness and heartache. A past abortion and past abuse played a huge roll in her self-image and the needs she had. Due to her past, Daesha experienced a crisis moment in her pregnancy where she considered aborting her baby. We were able to get her an appointment for healing after abortion counseling, and thankfully she continued her pregnancy!
Daesha took advantage of so many opportunities at FirstLook.
She attended prenatal yoga, CPR training, LulaDula classes, counseling, and she received Spiritual Support throughout her pregnancy. She also completed parenting classes and earned reward points, as well as a party and gift cards for her diligence and hard work. Her husband was able to meet with our male client coordinator on several occasions. Daesha used her many reward points at the FirstLook Boutique and Noah’s Boutique as she prepared for the birth of her baby.
Daesha became so much more than a client by allowing FirstLook to minister to her throughout her entire pregnancy.
On January 8, 2020 Daesha welcomed her beautiful baby boy into the world, FirstLook’s first baby of the year!
